If you’re planning a trip to Park City in December, mark your calendars now! While there aren’t many events on the slopes until later in the season, there are plenty of festive activities to keep you very active around town! Here are a few of our favorite holiday events.
The Mormon Tabernacle choir is a renowned performance. Religion aside, anyone who celebrates the Christmas holiday will enjoy the Mormon Christmas Spectacular at Temple Square. This is an event for everyone in the family!
If you’re travelling with young kids or adults that are kids at heart, make your way to the bottom of Town Lift at 5:30pm December 15th! Park City Mountain Resort provides hot chocolate, Christmas carols, and Santa will ride down Town Lift in his sleigh around 6pm.

“T’was the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.” It’s a Christmas Eve tradition and so is the Torchlight Parade! Every year on December 24th, around dusk, the Park City ski and snowboard instructors ride down the mountain with Santa, festive lights in hand.
Get all of your holiday gifts and support local designers, artists, chefs, and craftsman by hitting up this local pop-up shop December 18-22nd at the Rockwell Room on Main Street. This is the 3rd year of Branded PC and each year this unique event has gotten larger with a broader audience and more vendors.
Nelly and Ludacris are both playing at Park City Live this December! It’s a smaller venue right on Main Street so buy your tickets in advance. Also, check out their annual New Year’s Eve party! This year’s theme is black and white masquerade with DJ Ross and will be one of the most popular spots in town to ring in the new year.
New Year's Eve Events
Other than Sundance, New Years Eve is the only time you may need to pay a cover charge to get into a bar in Park City. The Spur, The Downstairs, OP Rockwells, and Rock n’ Reilly’s will all have fun, crowded, and sweaty NYE parties. For something a little more low key, check out Fletchers downstairs lounge or the St. Regis bar, but note you will most likely need a reservation for both spots.
